The main goal of the university is to train highly qualified personnel for automobile transport, road - bridge and airfield constructions, industry, road construction machinery, automated control systems in motor complex in the conditions of humanization of higher technical education, including the education and development of socially active and creative personality of the future specialist.

MADI`s scientic collective, through its longterm researches, contributed vehicles and engines enhance efficiency and reliability, reduced toxicity, increased overhaul life, reducing the burden of maintenance and repair. It made a major contribuion in the creation of scientific organization of road transport and transportation security in the cities of our country. Scientific collective made significant researches in the machine and equipment for road constructionconstruction improvement area.Scientists made a great range of activities for the implementation of computer-aided design, improvement of test methods and evaluation of transport and operational performance of highways and airfields, improvement of the quality of road construction materials, the use of industrial waste in road construction. Professors and lecturers of the university are authors of large amount of textbooks, monographies and tutorials and most of them and accepted by our country`s higher educational establishments as stable ones. A number of textbooks and monographs translated into foreign languages.
MADI is one of the most important universities in engineering and scientific training of foreing countries` citizens and it provides training to 67 foreign countries. The university has a preparatory faculty for foreign citizens. Graduates of specialized department of the Russian language diploma has a right to work as a translator and teacher of Russian language.
